Welcome to the official Da--Revolution club, in which you are allowed to express your thoughts and bad experiences with the administration and members of the DeviantArt community. You are also more than welcome to feature your art and creativity here!
This group is about reformatting the site, showcasing the genuine talent of our illustrators, and reporting major issues on this platform. Before you ask us anything, we suggest you read our codes of conduct. If you have any queries, contact us via note.
~ SEND YOUR REPORTS THROUGH NOTES, PLEASE! ~
~ DON'T POST YOUR REPORTS IN THE COMMENTS SECTION! ~
NOTE: Members must have their accounts at least six months old on the platform before they join our group. It’s nothing special, but there were several attempts to empty accounts before joining our group.
1. Folders related to stamps. Stamps about copyright violation, deviantART stupidity, anti-pedophilia, anti-pornography, and anti-Rule 34.
2. Folders related to digital illustrations, traditional art, ACEO cards and tribal tattoos, movies and animations, and other stuff. You can submit whatever you want. As long as it’s not stolen, we won’t stop you from doing that.
3. Folders related to tracking and reporting main issues, such as pornography, pedophilia, cybersex, and other fundamental problems. If you have any journal entries related to this matter, post them into related folders so we can easily report them. As for literature, complaints, and other written pieces, submit them to other folders.
Politicians, the rabid fandom community, and politics.
4. Yes, they can sometimes—usually always—be stupid, but we don’t want to see you submit your written pieces or illustrations related to this matter. While we may love delving into these subjects, they’re not compatible with our mission here at Da--Revolution. Please refrain from starting a discussion or injecting into a discussion anything that can be put into these categories.
5. Go to WeDontThinkSo, Express-Your-Hatred, DAPoliticalForumClub, ControversyInc, Anti-Illuminati-01, AntiAllThings, and Explicit-opinions for stuff like politicians, rabid fan communities, or both. There are many groups out there if you want to express your thoughts about politics and the fandom community. We are not one of them. Special thanks to LoboTaker for mentioning the last two groups dedicated to this theme.
Stuff that creates more drama than help.
6. We won’t tolerate that; you have your profile where you can express your hysteria as much as you wish. No one will cease you in that. Just keep our group away from your useless drama. Thank you. Moreover, strive to be as repellent as you can, and your life will improve. That is all we ask of you.
7. Trolls. You’d think this is obvious, but it isn’t. Once it’s revealed that someone is an Internet troll, stop talking to them, stop mentioning them, and stop contacting them. Do you want to go back to the DeviantART kindergarten to learn all this again? If you spot a troll, report them and move on! Yes, you can send your reports related to the trolls that you founded.
NOTE: Co-Leaders (Co-Founders) have the same job as the Founder; they only help moderate the entire group.
Co-Founder
8. Co-founders have the same jobs as founders, but there are some extra things that they can do. Your co-founders are the ones that hide any unnecessary comments, like spam, troll comments, or complaint comments. They are also the ones who moderate what goes into the gallery and answer some of your notes.
9. Be aware the Administrators may not always answer your comments or notes, as we are all busy with other life commitments. Be patient, and someone will get to your message soon.
10. We are not the deviantART operators; we are just deviants looking to protect the community. If you thought the silence was peaceful, you have yet to meet us. Currently, DeviantART is filled with obscene nude photographs, pedophiles, perverts, trolls, and more. Our goal is to help the moderators fix this by reporting deviations and users and helping cut down on such images and members on DeviantArt to make it a much friendlier place.
11. The mission of this group is to help administrators modernize the community by sending them every complaint and every issue that we come across. We will also do our best to help victims of DeviantART corruption raise their voices and share the experience that they had with the corrupted developers’ team. We also like to feature our loud opinions and thoughts about this community.
12. The only thing they see is darkness, but what they don’t know is that darkness can see them too.
13. The primary purpose of this group is to encourage silent, anonymous reporting; nevertheless, we also aid in reporting when necessary.
14. We no longer support or endorse screenshots. DeviantART prohibits them, so it’s not our fault. Unless it’s a tutorial or something helpful, then we will allow it.
No stealing. If someone here is stealing work, please let us know.
15. Please show some respect for our members and the administration in this group. No harassing of the group or other members; we do not allow trolling either. I’m not in the mood to deal with douchebags that get themselves banned. I will not re-invite you if you come back asking to rejoin; it makes us look dumb. We will remove all of your work from our group gallery.
16. We will not tolerate publishing stuff that creates more drama than helps.
17. We cannot report plagiarized art; we can’t. If you think you must, then tell the original artist, not us.
18. If you feel there is a need for another folder in the gallery, please note the group, and we will be happy to add it.
19. NO PORNOGRAPHY. There is a difference between art and pornography! LEARN THAT!
20. We do not tolerate harassing ANY deviant for ANY reason; sometimes they genuinely don’t know what they have done wrong. We do oversee telling them politely of the mistakes they have made and reporting them correctly!
21. Please do not try getting this group involved in personal fights with users. If we see your judgment dedicated to that, we will flag it as spam!
22. Please respect the reporting system and do not abuse it. Do not go addressing everything that offends you and saying it is worth reporting.
23. You can review How to Report a Violation.
24. DO NOT FLOOD THE GROUP! Only send new reports related to pornographic artists or deviants. We will flag hateful comments toward the group or its members as spam!
25. NO FLAMING OR ARGUING WITH OTHER MEMBERS! Do not start an argument with someone on the home page. If you feel another member is out of line, note the group by sending the URL address of the malicious comment, and the group administrators will look into it. Members found that starting an argument on the front page would end up being blocked without warning!
26. NOTE THE GROUP IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! This goes for everyone, members or not. Do not, I repeat, do not post hate comments or slander against the group on the front page. Don’t even do it in your journals. Refrain from sending complaints about the way we run the group on the front page. You’ll attract the wrong attention as well as encourage others to harass you because of that.
27. We will hide reports related to harassment, as third-party harassment reports are no longer valid by the deviantART administrators. Blame Daniel for this, not us.
28. The official copyright website can keep you up-to-date with anything you need to know.
29. * A petition asking for art theft policy reform.
If this reaches two thousand signatures, we may well see a change in the way this site deals with various cases of possible copyright infringement.
* The petition has been locked. It's no longer active.
30. This is a Tumblr page devoted to stopping theft! Another deviant asked Silent-enforcers in the community to have it here.
31. Artist Confessions can be used to disclose big popular art thieves anonymously, so their fans won’t swarm your page with hateful messages, it also serves as a place for artists to reflect on themselves and one another.
